Digital divide & its application today:The digital divide is the gap between those with access to modern information and communication technologies (ICTs) and those without, often resulting from limited internet access, lack of digital literacy skills, or outdated technology infrastructure. This divide can hinder access to education, employment, healthcare, and government information, exacerbate social inequalities, and limit civic engagement and economic growth. Addressing the digital divide is crucial for sustainable development and promoting digital inclusion. Examples include students in developing countries lacking internet access, employers relying on online job applications, and citizens excluded from government decision-making processes.Reflective essay on "ICT as a Platform for Change":Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have become a transformative force, bridging geographical and cultural divides and fostering global collaboration. It has enabled the creation of virtual communities, sharing knowledge and mobilizing collective action. ICT has also driven innovation in education, healthcare, and governance, democratizing knowledge acquisition and promoting transparency. It has empowered marginalized communities, providing them with a voice and fostering economic empowerment. As ICT evolves, emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and blockchain promise further revolutionizing sectors and addressing complex global challenges. ICT's ability to connect, inform, and empower individuals and communities will play a pivotal role in shaping a more just, equitable, and sustainable future.
